Mr McIntosh was a senior officer in the Australian Army where he served for 27 years. He is a graduate of the Australian Army Staff College and the Australian Defence College. He has a wide range of command and leadership experience, including senior command appointments and operational command.
Following his service, Mr McIntosh worked in the finance sector for 13 years and established a financial planning business. In addition to serving as Chair of Bolton Clarke, he is the Chair of two for-profit businesses - Altura Learning and RDNS Hong Kong - and the Chair of not-for-profit provider RDNS New Zealand. He is also on the Board of the Southern Cross Credit Union and the Advisory Board of the Royal Australian Regiment.
